Task 1: Distribution Methods

Physical Distribution:
The Flash is available to be brought in box sets. This means that a number of seasons (Season 1-3) are available to be brought as a whole. While this is not The CW's most effective way of selling their product is certainly helps their sales with the more interested and keen fans of The Flash.

The Flash is also available to be brought on Blu Ray. This means the same thing. This is most likely not their most effective way to gain sales but it shows that The CW is giving multiple options for viewers to watch The Flash. You are able to buy these box sets of mainstream websites such as Amazon. You have the chance for both Physical and Digital distribution on Amazon are you able to buy Box Sets from the main Amazon website. However, you are also able to buy a digital copy from either the main website or Amazon Video.


Digital Distribution:
The Flash mainly benefits from producing their show on The CW Network. This means that people are buying a licence to The CW Network to be able to watch The Flash on the network. This gives the viewers the first look at the episode. Due to this being the main way people watch The Flash, this is most likely The CW's most effective way of making profit. 

Another way you are able to watch The Flash is through streaming. This may not be the best way to watch the show as it might involve going onto websites. However, if you know websites then it is a very effective way of watching the program. Most of the websites would have been given permission to produce The Flash as The CW most likely knows that there is a high majority of people who watch The Flash on these websites, therefore they would still be able to make a profit and potential future customers for the Network.



Task 2: Advertising



This product is advertised on a billboard in America. This would be a very good place to place a poster for a show like The Flash as people who are waiting in traffic are going to look at the billboard and might be interested in The Flash and want to watch it. This billboard is clearly placed on top or a building, most likely in a urban area as there are going to be a lot of people looking up and looking out for new shows to watch. This poster would have been created in Photoshop and then sent to a professional printing centre where they would have printed it into the perfect size for the billboard. Then, a professional company would have put the poster up onto the billboard.

In this billboard, the colour is very bright due to the colour red. The red is to represent that red is the main theme colour for the show. The poster is very simple but attracting. This is due to the simplistic picture of The Flash looking directly into the poster, this gives and effect where if you look at the poster from any angle, it looks as if the character it looking directly at you. This is very good to draw the audience's attention towards the poster. 


Above is the image to The Flash Season 3 Trailer. This trailer is made very well. The music throughout the entirely of the trailer makes the audiences adrenaline rise as it is a very intense scene so the music fits perfectly with it. Also, the reason this trailer was put on YouTube is due to amount of viewers that are on the platform which watch The Flash. The trailer is cut very well as it makes some things look different to how they are when the actual episode airs.  The shots throughout the trailer are very quick and vary between birds eye view shots, close ups and long shots.
